We Are 5 Years now!

“Di jud tika makalimtan, Ma’am Ching.” Ma’am Ching’s tears flowed on her cheeks.

July 20, 2012 is a day to remember for Leon A. Garcia Sr. Elementary School for it is the the 5th year anniversary of Children of God.
The celebration was lavished with a short program wherein two former Children of God gave a talk about their experience before. They were Mellerose Loquinte and Frances Nina Quiboquibo.
Ma’am Ching cried when she heard the testimony of Nina. Nina expressed her deepest gratitude to Ma’am Ching. And when she said “Di jud tika makalimtan, Ma’am Ching.” Ma’am Ching’s tears flowed on her cheeks.
In addition, foods such as spaghetti and buttered chicken were served for children’s delight with ice cold ice tea. The children were really full after having their lunch.
The event was graced by Engr. S. B.  who was one of the donors for spaghetti and two students of Ma’am Ching from USEP. LAGES teachers were also around to assist the children.
It was really a day to remember for all of us and the LAGES extends its finest and undying gratitude to the people behind this. .CONGRATULATIONS to us!

Hello LAGES Children of God!

A grade 1 pupil receives her set of schools' items from Ma'am Ching.

Her answer had created countless of conclusions in my mind but one thing I was sure; Ma’am Ching doesn’t want to end her advocacy. Not only Ma’am Ching but also God. .

Busy as a bee. The young lad busily takes his
 meal.
A young lad wearing green shirt with a print “Child of God” passed by infront of me. The print reminded me of Ma’am Ching. It’s been a month now and I haven’t heard of her usual feeding with her “Children of God.” Maybe she had stopped for good (They always prayed for her good health).
But then, I heard Mrs. Miira Ellevera, Mrs. Marisa Caturza and Mrs. Elna Puerto discussed about rice and cooking it. This was it and indeed! Last Thursday, July 5, 2012, I saw Ma’am Ching once again. She fed her 80 Children of God.
The 30 grade 1 new member of Children of God were all delighted. This was their first time. Last year, they were mere spectators over their classroom window fence at the gym. But now their moment has come.
At last!I'm the one!Gr.1 pupils take their pride
as new members of children of God  while Mrs. Djoanna
directs them to their seats.
They took bites on their yummy chicken joy dipped in a so tasty gravy. Most asked for extra rice.
Who would not envy these Children of God? Once you belong to it, it was like having a countless privilege; taste the delicious dishes of Ma’am Ching, enjoy fabulous party held every anniversary and Christmas and the free schools’ items.
While 40 grade 2s and  10 grade 3s never missed to reunite with Ma’am Ching because they already know what is at stake for them.
After their lunch, they formed a line to receive their school’s items.
I heard Ma’am Ching talking about spaghetti for their 5th year anniversary. It’s been a while since Ma’am Ching was with us. . 5 years of being generous and kind-hearted.
A smile of satisfaction. I'm happy with
my advocacy.
When Ma’am Ellevera asked her about choosing a boy whom she would support for fare. She replied this, “Pag mag stop nako pero naa pa man ko . . .”( If I end my advocacy here but I still have some. . .(graces?))
Her answer had created countless of conclusions in my mind but one thing I was sure; Ma’am Ching doesn’t want to end her advocacy. Not only Ma’am Ching but also God. .
As a church song goes on. . . “Ang tawag larawan sa gugma, mao’y hagit sa tagsa-tagsa. . Pagkadaghan sa anihunon, pagkanihit sa mangangani karon (God’s calling is a sign of love, it’s a challenge to every one.. . There is much to harvest but there are few harvesters).”
And so Leon is quite blessed with having Ma’am Ching who knows how to answer the God’s calling. Every time she’s here, she’s harvesting the underprivileged pupils of our school, feed them and supports them in her little but magnificent way. (MSE 7/16/12)
"Faster! faster!" Ma'am Ching doesn't her Children of God
to be waiting.

Mrs. Puerto accounts the Children of God.

GravvvvyyyyLICIOUS! Ma'am Chings is always proud of her
murag Jollibee na gravy.

"Kulang akong manok," says the girl who can't  eat the
chicken portion by portion because of its juiciliness.

Sagad to the bones. Pati bones makaon bah! sa
kalami.

More gravy please. . .

Ma'am Ching counts the sharpener to be given away.

Inspite of taking all the tasks from cooking to serving
Ma'am Ching never loses energy.

"Naa pay kulang dire uy'" says Ma'am Ching as she assures
that everybody could take their seats.

"Thank you Lord kay lami amo sud-an," prays the boy(center).

Mrs. Ellevera orients the Children of God and leads the prayer.

We are peacefully praying so God hears that He may keep
Ma'am Ching strong and beautiful ever.

"Dear Lord, unta spaghetti mi sa anniversary puhon," prays
Ma'am Ellevera, tilting her head so Ma'am Ching could hear it.

"Lami ba mga bata?" asks Ma'am Ching. The Children of
God has her measuring gadget of her expertise in cooking dishes.
