Children of God:One my Joys in this World!

"Spot the Difference". Mingled with children, you won,t recognize Ma'am Ching. Being with children makes you also feel like one so she won't never get old, daw?(Ma'am Ching was at the middle.)

“I may not be the wealthiest person in the world or the most beautiful woman in the universe but GOD made me the happiest person on earth today for I am here now . . . celebrating the 7th Christmas Party with my Children of God.”ma'am ching

“Who cares with this line?” . . . it’s a premise that anybody could say but for us here in Leon A. Garcia Sr. Elementary School, it was a powerful confirmation that God had listened to our prayers for Ma’am Ching’s health. We know that Ma’am Ching was seriously ill last June during her “Welcome Back to School” spree. She could barely walk, and if she talked, she would catch her breath just to finish a line.  And today, we saw an exhilarating “Ma’am Ching”. She was full of energy and she was back on her health. As usual, she prepared her specialties which we were sure could make a “history” to all her Children of God. . . “Ummm yummy spaghetti” . . . “More spaghetti please”. . .  or  “Pwede pa mangayo, ma’am?”. And there’s more, the give-aways! So cute! Cuddly stuffed toys! Plus red apples, breads and candies (courtesy of LAGES teachers. . Thank you mga Ma’am and Sir). Almost everything, a child of God could wish to bring home after the party. The new members of Children of God (Grade 10) got their Child of God T-shirts.

"I will keep all these hearts," said Ma'am Ching
The party started at around eleven o’clock. A short program was prepared and was emceed by Ma’am Marisa C. Caturza. The Children of God rendered the Doxology, community dance number and community singing “Joy to the World”. On the later part, the Children of God prepared their colorful hearts which they gave to Ma’am Ching in exchange for untiring kindness to them. Each Child of God wrote on their hearts their wishes for Ma’am Ching. Ma’am Ching was touched for she knew that these children could not give anything to her. She promised to keep the hearts. Then, she was surprised by the “Kapamilya Mas Winner Ka” hosts Ms. Redge Ledesma and Mr. Stven Suave who gave her surprises such as groceries and school supplies for her Children of God.
Ma'am Ching was surprised by KMWK hosts Ms Redge Ledesma and Steven Suave.
She wished to give more than what she had prepared today but she had limited finances due to her medication.  As always, we knew that Ma’am Ching never wanted to leave her Children of God Advocacy. She always told me that she wanted someone to take over this advocacy, and it could be her previous group of students but it seems that nobody took her place as the “Servant of God”. And she would conclude then “Siguro isa ni sa mga rason why gibuhi pako ni Lord, for who would take care of these children?” Ma’am Ching really find great joy everytime she sees a smile when she gives something to her Children of God. And though her presence with us this year could only be counted (twice visits) but those moments have marked a difference, especially to her Children of God. One was during the time when she was sick, and then this December, which we witnessed a great miracle of Medicine and of God of course for bringing back the “Happiest Ma’am Ching” with us.(miiraellevera12/13)
